Paul Edwards, Chair of the CMPP Board of Trustees, announced today that the next CEO of the Charity will be Simon Jarvis.
'I am pleased to announce, on behalf of the Board, that we have secured the services of Simon Jarvis to be the next CEO.
Simon is well known to the CMPP community, having led the Sixth Form College, Farnborough with distinction before establishing The Prospect Trust. He has extensive experience of executive leadership but, most importantly, he knows CMPP very well having been one of the first Members back in 2010.
Since that time, he has worked closely with many of our business partners, community leaders and local politicians. He has played a key role in the development of the organisation at every stage of its development from a small, local community interest company to the social enterprise, registered charity that we have today. Simon knows the CMPP team very well; since September, he has of course been working as a consultant and clerk to the Board.
We are confident that in Simon we have a CEO who has the skills, knowledge and expertise to propel forward the strategic priorities and ambitions we have for CMPP.
He will bring continuity to the project but also a lot of new ideas.'
Paul paid glowing tribute to the outgoing CEO, Tracy Jarvis. 'Tracy plays a unique part in the history of CMPP - indeed, without her vision and drive, none of the incredible achievements of the past 12 years would have happened. She created a social enterprise in Rushmoor which is without parallel anywhere else in the UK. Tracy is highly respected by all that have the pleasure of working with her.
In recognition of her outstanding contribution, the Board are proud to award Tracy the title of Founder Patron. This honorary role will ensure that we maintain a close link with Tracy as she progresses in her new role and will serve as a reminder of exactly where our roots lie.'
On being appointed, Simon Jarvis said: 'To be appointed to lead CMPP is an extraordinary privilege. It's humbling to know that the future development of CMPP - an organisation to which I have been, and remain, totally committed - lies in my hands.
I look forward to continuing my work with all our brilliant Members, partners, the Trustees, Paul our Chair and, of course, the dedicated team of CMPP staff over the coming years. It's certain to be a challenging time ahead but I have no doubt that together we will thrive.'
