Stewart & Co turn aspiration into action

Updated: Mar 1, 2023

What brilliant CMPP partners Stewart & Co are! This Camberley based firm of accountants, who have been successfully providing expert and trusted advice for over 60 years, deserve to be recognised for the community heroes they undoubtedly are.

Since joining CMPP in March 2022, a total of 35 volunteers from Stewart & Co have been involved in two great CMPP Community Action Days - at Valley End Infant School and another at Reg's Garden in Farnborough. In all this investment represents over 175 hours of volunteer time given freely back to the community, saving hundreds of pounds in labour costs for local beneficiaries.

In addition, the generosity of the company's leaders extended even further when, in 2022, Stewart & Co supported the record-breaking Twilight Runway Challenge at Blackbushe Airport as a headline sponsor. Staff from Stewart & Co participated themselves in the Twilight, raising funds for their favoured good cause, Sebastian's Action Trust in Crowthorne. A team from these terrific all-rounders also took part in the CMPP Halloween Quiz contributing even more much-needed cash to a local charity. What a year!

All at Stewart & Co should justifiably be proud of your positive, enthusiastic engagement with the community.

On joining CMPP, Partner Lucy Evans, expressed her laudable aspirations of Membership:

'At Stewart & Co we recognise that delivering a first class service to our clients is paramount to our business. Linked to that is our strong commitment and relationship with our local community. Becoming a member of CMPP is about encouraging our people to engage in corporate volunteering opportunities in local projects. We are delighted to be working with CMPP to make that happen.'

In this picture, Lucy takes an unorthodox approach to encouraging her team to volunteer at Reg's Garden!

In their first year of Membership, it is clear that Lucy and her team at Stewart & Co have put down an impressive marker to define what whole-hearted community engagement truly means. Unsung (until now!) your efforts may be but your active commitment is highly valued - crucially, it's helping transform the lives of so many local people. Great work!
