The founder of Community Matters Partnership Project, CEO Tracy Jarvis, has informed Trustees that she is leaving the social enterprise in February of this year.
Tracy established CMP (as it was then - the second P came later) as a social enterprise around 12 years ago. Since that time, Tracy has led her brain child from a one woman community-interest-company with small group of four partners to become a registered charity collaborating with well of over 50 micro, small and corporate members.
'It's certainly gone through a number of phases!' Tracy explained. 'It started when I was being made redundant during a recession and a time of austerity. Growing up in a deprived part of town, I really wanted to do something positive to help communities like mine.
And looking back, I'm proud of the progress and the work that CMP(P) has done, in partnership with hundreds of really great people; like-minded entrepreneurs and business or community leaders who shared the vision of making a difference by working together. It's immense! In truth, it's exceeded my hopes though of course there's so much more we can do.
But, after more than a decade, it's time for me to take on a new challenge. The foundations of CMPP are in good shape and I know the Board of Trustees, led by Paul Edwards, have an excellent plan to ensure that there is a smooth transition as I hand over to a new CEO. I have no doubt that all the fantastic things we had planned for the year ahead, with some many brilliant partners supporting the team and getting behind the strategy, will take CMPP to the next level.
I look forward to watching CMPP go from strength to strength in 2023.'
Tracy has been appointed to become CSR Manager for Govia Thameslink Railway, based in London. Details of Tracy's successor will be announced very shortly.
