Local Waitrose Branches Support Twilight Runway Challenge

Our flagship fundraising event, the Twilight Runway Challenge, would not be possible without the generous support from local businesses as sponsors, which helps to cover the event costs and enables 100% of fundraising to go to local causes.  We are delighted to confirm that one of the headline sponsors for this year’s event is Waitrose with local branches (Yateley, Fleet, Farnham, Frimley, Bagshot, Alton, Basingstoke and Guildford) collaborating to support this event.  Simon Cuzner, Branch Manager at Yateley, reveals “Waitrose and Partners are proud to be able to sponsor the Twilight Runway Challenge to raise vital funds for numerous local charities. We see ourselves as an integral part of the communities in which we trade and this is a great event to show that support.”

The Twilight Runway Challenge returns on Saturday 11th September, encouraging people to get active whilst helping to raise money for a local charity or school.  Participants can run, walk, cycle, scoot or skateboard along 3km, 5km or 10km of the airstrip of Blackbushe Airport, taking part for fun or raising funds for a local cause of their choice.

This family-friendly event is open to all ages and attracts a wide variety of participants, from people looking to get fit, beating a personal best to those wanting to have fun with friends, family or colleagues.

Tracy Jarvis states “CMPP is all about community and collaboration, and our Twilight Runway Challenge embodies this.  We are proud that this flagship fundraising event helps to raise vital funds for local charities in the community.”

The event is fortunate to have a diverse array of charity partners, such as - Challengers, The Cowshed, The Fountain Centre, Harry’s HAT, Mustard Seed Autism Trust, Oakleaf Enterprise, Parenting Special Children and Samson Centre for MS, to name a few!
