Independence Day Spectacular!!

CMP are hosting their annual summer social at The Urban Village Resort, Farnborough on Thursday 4 July and its definitely one not to miss!

Tickets are on sale now, tables of 10 cost £250 or sold separately at £25 per person so don't delay, book today!

The Vice Squad, 6th Form College staff band will once again be entertaining our guests with a bunkin' bronco competition and much more!

Your ticket will include food and entertainment and American Motors will welcome us all with the biggest Uncle Sam you will ever see!!

Twilight Runway Challenge 2013

What better to do on a summers evening than run or cycle down the runway at TAG Farnborough Airport whilst raising funds for a local charity?!

On Saturday 29^th June you could take part in the Twilight Runway Challenge, a run taking place on the runway of TAG Farnborough Airport.

Challenge yourself to run, jog, cycle, walk or skip 3k, 5k or 10k along the runway to raise funds for The Gaming Zone, Farnborough.

The Twilight Runway Challenge is a fantastic charity event which brings people and communities together to raise money for a local charity. Run together with your colleagues or invite your friends and family to take part in the challenge with you.

There is a £20 entry fee for adults (17+) and a £10 entry fee for children (10-16), this can be taken as your sponsorship money. We have an early bird special of £18 per adults and £8 for children if you register at least 2 weeks prior to the event. All of the money raised will go directly to The Gaming Zone - http://www.thegamingzone.org/

When you register for the event you will be automatically entered into a FREE PRIZE DRAW to win a 6 month free membership to the gym at The Urban Village, Farnborough.

Registration will open on the 13^th MayTo sign up visit, http://www.farnborough.ac.uk and fill in the details required. You will shortly be sent a sponsor form and joining instructions to your email.

Hogg Robinson Group partner with The PIER

Employees of HRG will be spending a day working on site at the Pier in Farnborough. The Pier is a unit that provides intervention for young people with social, emotional or behavioural needs.

Headed up by Joy Cross (HRG) and Jen Hill (The Pier) employees will transform their current garden so it becomes a feature for the young people - ready to use for the summer!

CMP Inter-Company Pub Quiz

Thursday 11 April saw another wonderful inter-company pub quiz with 13 teams attending from local companies, charities and community groups across Rushmoor.

Hosted at the fabulous Aviator Hotel, Farnborough the 13 teams battled it out over 6 rounds to be crowned the winner for 2013!

Their knowledge was tested in sport, music, anagrams, general knowledge, children's tv and colours with a dingbat round to add to the fun.

The eventual winners were Barclays Bank who pipped The Gaming Zone to the post by 3 points - well done!

The Community Matters Partnership is working with Rushmoor Borough Council, First Partnership EBP, The Village Hotel and Rushmoor Schools Plus to host an inspirational conference and networking event enabling local companies and organisations to meet, connect, share and look at ways to work together and raise aspirations in young people.

This event is open to any business, company, organisation or community group in Rushmoor. Please book early to help us with our planning and to ensure you get a ticket.

Over Christmas and the New Year member organisations of CMP have been selling tickets to raise money for local causes.

The raffle was led by Chris Eustace of Farnborough Sixth Form College with support from Paul Marden of Orcare, a CMP Champion company.

The raffle raised over £10,000 a staggering amount and a great example of partnership working!
